This a refresh of a project I shot a few years ago for the Healthcare and Pharmaceutical Management Program at Columbia Business School. HPM, as it is called, has a new director, Carri Chan, and that presented an opportunity to re-film parts of the video: to highlight Carri, to add current students, and to update sections of the b-roll.
This was filmed last fall when stricter covid protocols were in place and the video reflects that reality. It was published this past January.

Production
The new interviews/stand-ups were filmed with my current kit; two Canon C70s. Lighting consisted of a Litepanels Astra 6x in a Snapbag Big with a Magic Cloth as the key. Backlight was a Litepanels Sola 4+ fresnel with some diffusion and the backdrop was lit with two Astra 6xs in smaller sized Snapbags also with Magic Cloths for diffusion. Matthew RoadRags II flags were used to keep the backdrop lights off of the subjects.
In refreshing the older video we looked to match the look and style of that video. So, speakers were filmed against white and spoke off-camera rather than directly into the lens. B-roll, interior and exterior, was filmed with available light.
