I have been testing a Canon G3 X camera. It’s a higher end point & shoot model which has a 1″ chip (very large for a P&S). It shoots stills and HD video.
Beyond the chip three unique features of the G3 X are an optical 24mm – 600mm lens (35mm equivalent), a magnesium body (same as higher end DSLRs), and weatherproofing on par with a Canon 70D or a 5D Mark III.
All of these came into play on a short film I made last week with the G3 X:
I’ll save thoughts on the camera for another post.
