All the World’s a Stage

Last night in New York City to photograph a performance artist at Columbia University. Only problem, no stage available. Each one on campus still undergoing summer renovations. So… we built our own, squeezing it into an available 10’x15′ classroom.

Black muslin backdrop from the Set Shop in NYC. LED lights: 1×1 Flood + Chimera Softbox on boom as key, 1×1 Spot + 1/8 CTO to camera right as fill and an eye-light, two Sola ENG lights + 1/2 CTOs as backlight and set dressing against the muslin. The light on the left was not used, it’s on standby in case some fill is needed. All lights are Litepanels. The 1x1s are running off of batteries (no cables!) and the Sola ENG fresnels are plugged into the wall.
