The assignment was captured on a Canon 5DS R, Canon’s full-frame 50MP DSLR, with Canon’s tilt/shift lenses. Primarily, the 24mm f/3.5L II TSE and the 17mm f/4L TSE. A 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L II lens was used for the long view seen at the beginning of the blog post. None of my lights were hurt in the making of these images.
I shot RAW tethered to Capture One and took full advantage of my Digiplate’s hood setup. It provides a great, stable, and secure platform for my laptop; and its hood makes seeing and evaluating exterior images in the bright summer light a piece of cake. Yep, there’s a laptop in there.
