We waited and waited and waited.
Meanwhile our desktops became
Dated and dated and dated.
Rumor had it, it was the end of the line,
But then rumor had it, it would be just in time.
Alas, nothing, nada. A slight speed bump?
So little in fact that “new” would be dumped.
Mine’s pushing six, still going strong.
Sure, I can use it but for just how long?
I would have bought new but now I will wait.
I’ll hunker down, leave the rest to fate.
Double the ram, add a new SSD,
Stave off the inevitable
Which will come in two oh one three.
