Inglourious Basterds was a work of genius in my book. The opening scene, filmed like aLeone opening, creating a WWII western in Nazi occupied France – all perfect in the the look, the dialogue, the sound, and the world it created. The movie even works when Bowie’s Cat People comes popping in out of nowhere.
