With 2012 having come to a close, I am looking back and realizing that I probably shot more portraits on seamless background paper in 2012 than at any time in my career. Why? Hard to know but I take it as an economic indicator. As companies started hiring again to replace those let go since the 2008 crash, as they needed more staff to grow along side a recovering economy, or as budgets loosened due to a more positive economic outlook – it was time for portraits.
In late November I visited Novo Nordisk to create portraits for an internal project, images destined to become playing cards.
